This is a rare depiction of a late 19th century Nuestra Senora de Lourdes from Latin America. Exact provenance is unknown, but we are told that it came from the estate of a consul from Brazil. It stands 13” high (without the crown) x 4.25” wide x 4.25” at the base and weighs 1.4 lbs. It has on her hands the original shell rosary which was rethreaded and a 14k gold cross was added. The antique brass resplandor with 12 stars (included in price) is 4" in diameter and weighs 14 grams. Notice the intricate painting design w/ roses as is the sign of the apparitions. It seems that this statue was partially painted and restored at one time. Notice the eyes are made of some kind of semi precious stones.
